With over 40 interactives, and over 200 pieces of memorabilia, Nassal was the exhibits fabricator on site for the project for over 7 months. The exhibit features nine, 12-foot story-telling pods that are inspired by the interior of the shuttles. Each pod features a title that highlights nine unique characteristics or traits of a hero such as curiosity, or passion.
Heroes and Legends, featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, tells the story of the early space exploration program. The $20 million enhancement includes a gigantic 3-D movie, assorted space relics in shuttle-inspired pods and other elements united in a heroism theme.
