As Nassal’s Director of Design, Amanda will apply her expert knowledge of design, materials, construction, and CAD to create the shop fabrication documents that are used to fabricate Nassal’s projects. Amanda is responsible for directing, managing, and leading Nassal’s team of dedicated designers across multiple disciplines and projects to ensure timely delivery and coordination with Nassal’s fabrication shop, design partners, and clients. Design plays a critical piece in the Fabrication process, and Amanda will work with her team to create the build-ready files for our Shop using a variety of different software and technology that would best fit the application.
Amanda’s vast knowledge of Nassal’s most complex projects in both scenic and rockwork fabrication and with over 10 years of design and engineering experience within themed entertainments for Nassal, Amanda has managed the design process from a technical shop drawing and install review to ensure what we are designing makes sense and provides enough information to create build-able shop drawings and construction techniques. Nassal’s design team works closely with the base building architectural designers to ensure our design is coordinated with base building architectural finishes, along with an MEP elements required for the structure and/or scenic elements. Nassal’s designers also work closely with the structural engineers, project managers, fabricators, installers, and clients to achieve the final design intent while maintaining structural integrity and guest durability.
